Spring Break 2021

We’ve always driven by and quickly through, but in all the years I have lived in Utah, I’ve never actually spent the time to visit the Bryce Canyon. We planned a quarantine trip down in the Bryce Canyon area with some family friends during spring break.

We rented an AirBnB together in Beaver, which was both close and far from where we had planned on adventuring.

The first day, we visited parts of Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome, and Escalante. We ate in Boulder UT before heading back to our AirBnB. It was gorgeous! We saw about three to four different rock formations within the span of a few hours and every time we stepped out of the car, it was breathtaking.

Our second day was spent visiting the Parowan Gap Petroglyphs, which were amazing! I can’t imagine what prompted the carvings or completely guess what each meant. I hope they still remain hundreds of years later for future generations to visit.

We sporadically stopped off the side of the road by this little river for lunch and had a relaxing mini camp out. The kids had a bunch of fun playing around the water, and our friends even tried to fish. There were plenty of fish, but we weren’t able to catch and release any.

It was such an enjoyable trip. I wouldn’t mind going back and revisiting more of the areas!

Have you visited Bryce Canyon before? What are some sights you’d recommend in that area?
